About usOrefice Vini was set up by five friends, Giuseppe, Mirko, Emore, Maurizio and Francesco, each of them has a different story to tell, yet each of them has a common denominator, which is nothing less than an unbreakable tie with the world of wine inspired by a long winemaking tradition that has been handed down for several generations committed to the love for the land and its harvest.TerroirOrefice Vini vineyards enjoy from cool influences of the mountains Maiella and fresh breezes from the Adriatic Sea. The vineyards are in a hilly area where the frequent presence of the wind, ensures the best conditions for healthy vines and good-quality grapes. Moreover, the vineyards benefit from a wide temperature range that helps gradual and full ripening of the bunches. Warmer daytime temperatures favour the development of sugars, while cool nights help to preserve aromas, freshness and acidity. The soils are clayily and have excellent drainage. These conditions create a perfect microclimate for growing and nurturing some of Italy's finest wines.QualityA fine wine can only be produced when the winemaker understands and appreciates the importance of every step in the process, from the planting of the grapes right up to the bottling. Therefore, we take care of every phase of the production from the vineyard to the sales. With manual harvest it is possible to carry out a first selection of the best bunches, whereas during the de-stemming process grapes are selected manually so that only healthy and intact grapes are sent to the cellar. All agronomic practices aim to respect and safeguard the environment.PhilosophyTradition and craftsmanship in the work of the vineyard and cellar are the path we have chosen in pursuit of a wine that is an expression of its land of origin. Our production focuses mainly on native grape varieties such as Montepulciano, Trebbiano, Pecorino, Passerina and Cococciola, plus a small percentage of other varieties. Our goal is to respect the identity and character of each grape variety, so that each one is different and precious as a jewel, an ambassador of our land to the world.
